Cairolive.com
in the news
Cairolive.com has
been receiving some good press recently.
An extremely
positive review of one of our new sites, zahma.com,
appeared on the front page of the prominent Arab economic daily Al-Alam-Al-Youm's
Itisalat Al-Youm section in May. A copy of the article -- by journalist
Mohamed Karim, also appears on the gn4me website. You can see it here.
"Cairo, alive"
appeared in the December 12 issue of Al-Ahram Weekly. The newspaper's
review of the site feted the "strength of cairolive", calling
it "a site that offers content about what's happening in Egypt by
actually producing it, rather than lifting it from the wires."
"All written
concisely, and with panache, by Egyptians," the review continued,
the "new, easy-to-surf format, a simple yet modern layout and a new
concept mirror what is actually happening in this country... Many in
Egypt feel the need for the kind of fresh journalism that this site
offers."
