Symbolic strike insignificant at best
There was little support for the symbolic strike in support of the Palestinians called for by Arab professional groups this week. Workers across the region were supposed to stop working for five minutes on Wednesday in solidarity with the Palestinians. Very few did, according to this report from AP.

Al-Azhar's grand sheikh was in London this week to sign a multi-faith accord with his Christian counterpart.
