Festival of stone
Please! Can you help me to
get in touch with somebody who can give me direct information about
the Aswan sculpture symposium.
The Symposium was held
for the first time on November 3, 1996 in Aswan. Fifteen
Sculptors from 11 foreign countries participated in the two-month
exhibition. When it was all over,
the government took possession of all the
produced pieces to form the nucleus of the International Sculpture
Museum in Aswan.
The Aswan Sculpture
Symposium is now an annual event. Last year’s event, which
ended in mid-March, was the seventh annual symposium.

in Cairo.
