An Egyptian by choice

Asalaamu Aleikum... Being an Egyptian by choice, I really enjoy visiting my second home-Egypt. I no longer look at it as a vacation but as a homecoming.
Thanks for all the information regarding various things to see in Egypt. I hope that you will dwell more on Cairo's night life and attractions. See you in August Masr! Thanks

Alex Seredin

Inspiring archives

I have looked all over the internet, and cairolive.com slowed me down because I was inspired to read the archives. I really enjoy your site.

Debating Darwich

What are these people talking about .. they love Darwich?? There's only been a few Darwich stories.. that damn contact lens one's been up there for the last 10 months or so... Is Darwich dead?? Can we at least bury him.. His is the most irritating part of this website.. The man hasn't done a damn thing in a while..

A bit of philosophy

A bevy of praise

Your website is really great, because it talks about the real Egypt, the true image, and in easy English. Both zahma.com, and shrinkingglobe.com are great efforts and ideas. Keep the good work.

Ibrahim Hassan

I think the site is great and is improving fast. It's rich and diverse. You must be working hard to make it look so good. Keep up the good work.

I am really amazed and impressed by the great effort you do exert everyday to make this site one of the best sites in Egypt.

It's a really wonderful program so please keep it up. Thanks

Still debating Suad

I like this article very much. I don't think Suad Hosny killed herself. I have been watching Suad Hosny movies for 4 years (that's how long I've had satellite TV) and I just fell in love with her. I am really sad that she died.

Politics 101

Instead of boycotting American businesses which operate in Egypt and employ Egyptians, try boycotting the imported manufactured goods from the U.S. This would not harm Egyptians as much as it would the corporate profiteers in America. Let us not forget that most of what is sold as "modern civilization" in America, is professed to be from Roman or Greek origin, when in fact it can almost all be traced to Ancient Egyptian civilization.  May you all be blessed and keep the faith of freedom from oppression.
We spend 3 billion dollars a year on the Israeli military which is used to oppress the Palestinian people. This is the news that needs to be in the headlines globally. I fear that my government has gone out of control and will not stop until the world is in truly disastrous conditions. Add up the number of people who have been killed in the past 25-30 years here in America and in the world as a result of U.S. military intervention. It will stagger the mind and you will see how the amount of dead in NYC last year is nothing compared to it. We need global justice for all people, including Americans who have now seemingly lost our Constitution under the guise of a so called war on terrorism. How does one go to war with that which he has created?  God Bless Egypt from an American with open eyes.
