Live from Dubai

I read your report about Thomas Friedman and his speech at the conference and his arrogance in dealing with the Arabic media.  It is very interesting news that we cannot get anywhere else but Cairo Live.

Praise

I'm a first timer to your site and I absolutely love it. I'm interested in Egypt mainly because someone dear to me lives there. I live in the Caribbean and being caught up in a place like Egypt that seems so exotic and other worldly is very intriguing. Thanks to your site you've captured my heart. Thank you.

Heather

I like your site updates very much and want to let you know that  between Cairo Live and shrinking globe, the reader  will  get all the news he or she may wish to have.  It's a very encompassing and informative package.

Politics 101

The Palestinians deserve their own state and Israel must give up territory for peace...Which it says it will do..
Beyond that.. it is poverty.. Why can't the Western world Invest jobs and $$$ in the region to give Palestinians what everyone desires...Peace.. Liberty.. Prosperity.. And this is just not for the Palestinians.. Why not all Arab countries...Many people in the U.S live beneath the poverty level.. We cope...But we attain diversity and tolerance for all regardless if we like their political views or not!  Has it caused problems?  Yes...Of course...But we debate them.. We look forward to a free debate in your country as well!

Brian Hanke

The Jewish lobby is very strongly in action in USA and in Europe. They are trying vehemently to distract the public opinion from current Israeli cruelty and action by pointing to the small and insignificant incidents which happened in France , Germany and England, they are trying very hard to remind people again of what happened to them during World War II in Germany to cover up for what is happening now. You could realize their influence while watching the famous TV stations like CBS/ABC and CNN and if you listen to BBC or its affiliates in the USA. While our voice as Arabs is heard no where, no activity , no one is speaking and pointing out the cruelty and unfairness to the Palestinians, yes you see and hear a lot in Arabic but it does not improve our image in Europe and USA. Adding some extra salt to the wound , Al-Jazeera is airing a video tape from Bin Laden's group showing one of the Sept 11 hijackers glorifying what is going to happen. Such action will only confirm the image already held by the majority of the people about the Muslims and particularly the Arabs.
We need media experts who firmly believe that we need to polish our image and correct peoples' idea about our world , by speaking and writing in a cultured voice , intelligently addressing the real issues at hand very calmly,  convincing the rest of the world that we are a people of peace and we only want to secure the rights of the Palestinians to have their homeland and their sovereignty over it.
I only hear drums of war and revenge from a lot of speakers on our Arabic channels which are translated and shown to the rest of the world to show how brutal and bloody we are which only helps the Israelis to prove their point.
Don't you think that we should start changing all of that systematically and use our money and friends to help us achieve such a goal.

As a new comer to your website, I have to say I was blown away by the imagery , the articles, the finesse and the sheer energy that has been ploughed into such a healthy field of comments, articles and points of view... However the opinions presented here still reveal those old school tendencies to jump the gun ... for those folks.. WAKE UP what cause? ...Yes but this is the cause that will unite the Arabs you say... I say dream on no such unity can ever occur if the EU hasn't proved that to you already you need some coffee.

Boycott talk

Absurd!!!
Don't like what people are doing don't discourage them and most of all provide an alternative if you do have one.
Don't leave questions unanswered!!
See what others are doing...

They're still debating Kordahi

Even with that much exaggeration of spotlight, George Kordahi will survive it, be cause he is a real star.

Biko

I think that George Kordahi is very attractive. He has the most magical eyes.... his smile is incredible....I think that his eyes should be named THE IMPOSSIBLE EYES .
God bless him

A suggestion

It would be great if you had a listing of movies that are currently showing in Cairo movie theaters!

Don't like the new look?

Hey guys, I've been coming to your site for a year now and have become a state spokesperson for the thing among my friends, anytime anyone's like yeah have you heard of.. I stop them and tell them to check out your site. I love the content, and I used to love the layout before you guys started covering a lot more stuff and expanding, now it's cluttered and it's kind of hard to find stuff ... some of the new things Ii love are not having to go to my email to send comments cus I'm lazy.. I love all the entertainment news.. and I like the cairolive in the news a lot cus it keeps me updated on your achievements which are inspiring to say the least. I am a devoted follower and previous winner of pic of the week (this sounds like a resume) so please don't ever drop it. Take care and please change your format soon when you've got time cus I'm sure you're inundated with work..

Enna

Your new look stinks.

And more praise

Cairo Live is fantastic, full of news and information all fresh and well selected. Even more important is that it comes up on the web very fast and that is a key.

Omar

I just stumbled on your newspaper on line this evening while listening to a German radio broadcast and reading international articles on the crisis in the Middle East. I am an American who lives in Southern California in an area called Orange County. I was fortunate enough to have visited your wonderful country in 1991 with a group of friends and to have had dinner with the amazing Dr. Zahi Hawass and our group at the Mena House Hotel, so it was a nice surprise to read about his promotion here. What an incredibly fascinating man!
I really like this site and plan to visit it often!
